Level 5 Diploma in Human Resources Management (UK)

While studying  your degree in psychology, you will also study HRM modules. Usually you will have three psychology modules and two HRM modules per semester. You will find the HRM modules in the electives section.

You will complete 240 credits of business management and obtain a UK Level 5 Diploma awarded by ABE (Association of Business Executives UK). A Level 5 diploma is equal to the first (02) years of a bachelor’s degree in business.

Recognition & Accreditation of the Dual Qualification

At the end of the 03 years, you will receive two certificates.



Diploma in HRM  is awarded by ABE UK .

Association of Business Executives (ABE) , is one of the leading and longest standing professional bodies offering qualifications in Business and related subjects. ABE is an internationally recognized awarding body and universities all over the world accept ABE qualifications for exemptions in their degrees.

BSc (Hons) Psychology & BA (Hons) Business Administration

Students in this program have the wonderful opportunity of obtaining two bachelor’s degrees within three years. Upon completing the ABE Level 5 Diploma in HRM, you could enter the BA (Hons) Business administration degree awarded by University of Hertfordshire UK in association with ABE UK.

With this option, you can graduate from two top UK universities with two full degrees within three years.


 Assessments are designed to ensure that the students have achieved the required learning outcomes. Students are provided opportunity to take a range of assessments including  written examinations, essays and assignments submitted online, individual and group presentations, social media projects, mini research projects, case studies and individual research project (dissertation). These will empower students to face the various different challenges and demands of their work life upon graduation.

For Psychology modules first two years (DHEP) assessments are governed by CIRP and the Final year assessments are governed by University.

For Business Modules first two years assessments are governed by ABE UK  and the Final year assessments are governed by University of Hertfordshire UK.

Transfer Options


Most of the students who complete the first two years will enter the final year of the BSc (Hons) Psychology program delivered at CIRP.

Some students opt to transfer to different countries and universities around the world. As a result of DHEP curriculum meeting international standards, students are able to get exemptions with almost all the universities they apply to. CIRP has already established transfer pathways to many universities in UK, Australia, Canada , Dubai and many other countries.


While you have the option of entering the BA (Hons) Business Administration Degree from University of Hertfordshire studying online from Sri Lanka, you also have the option of transferring to over hundreds universities around the world.

Educational Qualifications - Standard Entry 

Completed A/L  (SL / Edexcel / Cambrdige / Recognized examinations body) with a minimum of Two (02)  Passes in any Stream 

Or have completed a Foundation  Programme  awarded by a recognized College /University 

Educational Qualifications - Special considerations for mature students 

Applicable for candidates who are above 21 and do not meet the above entry criteria. These applications will be handled on an individual basis and the academic board will decide based on the evidence provided by the candidate.

A professional qualification with two (02) years work experience in a relevant field.
Or follow the Access Diploma to Higher Education at CIRP.

Language Requirement

A high level of English Proficiency (Equal to IELTS 6.5)  is required to successfully complete this program.

English Proficiency of the students will be assessed in the beginning of the programs and students who do not meet the expected standard will be asked to follow the English Language Proficiency Program (ELPP) offered by CIRP and obtain the required level of mastery before commencing their studies.

CIRP Online Library which holds the largest collection E- textbooks, research papers and journal articles could be accessed through  Virtual Learning Environment. You no longer have to borrow print versions, you can read and refer to these resources though your computer or phone.

Academic Writing Centre

Students have access to a dedicated academic writing center to guide and train students in scientific communication to improve writing, referencing and in-text citation. Students could visit the center by making an appointment and receive one on one support on their academic writing skills.
