Overview
CIRP offers an excellent pathway to study psychology at the prestigious Victoria University of Wellington through CIRP’s New Zealand Psychology Transfer program. Students are able to study (01) one or (02) two years at CRIP in Sri Lanka and enter the Bachelor’s degree program in Psychology at VUW, New Zealand.
Students will complete either 120 credits in one year or 240 credits in two years of their psychology program at CIRP in Sri Lanka and transfer in to the 2nd of the 3rd year of the psychology degree offered by VUW in New Zealand.

How does the program work?
1. You enter the international psychology degree transfer program at CIRP after completing your A/L or O/L qualifications. Students after A/L enter the degree 1st year and the students after O/L enter the Foundation course.
2. If you prefer to transfer after (01) year, you will complete 8 modules and gain 120 credits in Psychology. You are able to enter the 2nd year of the Psychology degree at VUW, New Zealand.
3. If you prefer to transfer after (02) years, you will complete 16 modules and gain 240 credits in Psychology. You are able to enter the 3rd year of the psychology degree at VUW, New Zealand.
4. CIRP’s international admissions team will work with you from the beginning to prepare you for the university admissions and to meet the visa requirements.
5. CIRP will provide you with IELTS training and support with improving your language and academic skills for you to become successful at VUW.
6. CIRP international admissions staff will guide you with regard to the university application process, obtain the offer letter and prepare you for the visa interview.

You can combine psychology majors with many other subjects. You could complete a conjoint degree, a double major, or add a minor subject.
Double major—specialise in two subjects in your degree.
Second major from another degree—study a wider range of subjects without doing another degree.
Minor—specialise in a subject without doing as many courses as for a major—generally 60 points at 200-level or above, with at least 15 points at 300-level. Almost all subjects offered as a major in the BSc and BA are also available as a minor.
Conjoint degree—this intense programme lets you complete two degrees more quickly, in a minimum of four years. For example, you could combine a BSc or BA in Psychology with a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing, a Bachelor of Laws, a Bachelor of Education, or a Bachelor of Health.
