Admissions Office
Located at the Sea Side Campus, Student Admissions office provides information on programs, fees, scholarships and career and academic guidance in order to empower students to make an informed decision about their higher education. Our well trained student advisors will support you decide the best suitable program in line with your personal and career goals. Admissions office provides face to face guidance on site as well as via video conference.
Student Services Desk
Students can access a range of services from the Student Services Desk established in the ground floor of the Sea Side Campus. Staff at the student services desk is well trained to provide you with advice, guidance and information related to the entire student life cycle from enrollment to graduation. They are able to support all your student administration related issues and /or further arrange appointments with academic staff if and when required. You can simply walk in or call them on +94 112 507071 /72 or message them on +94 070 431 8002. Student services desk provides their service on site as well as via video conference.
Psychological Services
All CIRP students have free access to counseling and psychological services by well qualified, trained and professional counselors and psychologists. This is a service provided by the campus in collaboration with CIRP Life Center, the therapeutic and counseling center managed by the School of Psychology. Life Center is located at the sea side campus and students are able to make an appointment by emailing, calling or messaging the numbers given in the student hand book. Excellent care and follow up in strict confidentiality is provided to the students and CRP is one of the few universities in Colombo with a it's own in-house student counseling services.
Library Services
International higher education requires international standards in learning resources. From traditional learning resources such as Lending Libraries with print copies to E Library with E Books and Journal Access, CIRP provides students with the latest learning resources that facilitates their academic work. Main Library is located in the 2nd Floor of the Land Side Campus and there are many other reading rooms and resource centers spread across both campuses.
Virtual Learning Environment
One of the key lessons learnt by higher education organizations during COVID pandemic is that learning and teaching methods need to quickly adapt to changing and challenging circumstances to provide uninterrupted education to students. CIRP offers it’s students a modern Virtual Learning Platform where delivery of lectures and access to learning resources could take place remotely. While delivery of lectures through the VLE is mainly for online students, on campus students also have access to learning resources and study material via VLE. And during times where on campus lectures cannot take place, they too could engage in lectures via VLE without interrupting and prolonging their programs
Students Council
CIRP Student Council, where the office bearers are elected by students every year, is one of the most active and efficient student councils in the region. Governed by it’s own constitution, student council contributes to the growth and development of CIIHE in many ways. Formally accepted as the student body that has the right to represent the students, representatives of the student council sit in many academic and administrative committees voicing students suggestions and feedback as well as protecting the rights of the students. Contribution of the student council is vital in maintaining transparency, determining the direction of the institute and excellent level of student satisfaction.
Internships & Placements
One of the major objectives of CIRP is to produce globally employable graduates. Future workplace is a fast changing, multi-cultural and technologically advanced setting where interpersonal skills, ability to work in multicultural, multi-disciplinary teams, communication and presentation skills, leadership, ability to work independently in an organized manner matters more than anything. In order to prepare our students for these challenges we provide ample internship and placement opportunities for CIRP students within campus projects and in collaboration with our partners.
Academic Writing Center
Academic writing is an essential skill that will determine the quality of your academic work from undergraduate studies for the rest of your life. Ability to scientifically communicate presenting empirical evidence from valid sources providing accurate referencing directly affects your academic authority. In the beginning of all courses, an academic writing module is included. Some students may need further support and they are able to obtain further guidance from Academic Writing Center on a group or individual basis.
